I was commissioned to create this gorgeous piece by a woman who lost her daughter way too soon. She told me that her daughter loved roses, the color red, and the color blue, and also that in high school she played softball, and this is what I came up with. The pattern is not mine, however is from Pride and Joy quilting and fit the bill perfectly. This one is done using Foundation Paper Piecing, so it is very precise piecing and lots of tiny parts. I made a custom quilt label which brought in her love for softball.
